DAN YOUMANS - As the Artistic Director of Dan & Company Studios, Dan Youmans is considered across the nation to be a master of Musical Comedy. A native Atlantan and graduate of the University of Georgia, Mr. Youmans began his career as a young dancer with Six Flags, and Theatre of the Stars. After touring the country with numerous musicals, including “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Hello Dolly”, “Music Man”, “Cabaret”, and “Man of La Mancha”, Dan returned to Atlanta to establish Dan & Company Studios and the Atlanta Jazz Theatre Dance Company. In addition to directing the Studio and the Dance Company, Mr. Youmans also stages and choreographs numerous musical events, including television and arena, throughout the Southeast. He was lead Choreographer for the Closing Ceremonies for the Paralympics in 1992 in Barcelona, Spain, and for the Atlanta Paralympics in 1996. Dan is currently creating choreography for the First Baptist Church of Atlanta, Mt. Paran North, and is serving as Director of Sacred Dance for the new Performing Arts Academy of the Salvation Army in Suwannee, Ga.
